Link's Awakening [DX]
Page by: Linkster

REVIEW

Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game to come out on Gameboy. It was Ocarina of Time's predecessor. It wasn't my favorite Zelda game, but it was alright. It was challenging, and had a lot of little sidequests and things like that in it. They overdid it on the references to Mario, though. Chain Chomp is in it. There are pirahna plants and goombas. Tarin looks like Mario. At one point, Kirby is even in it!

The thing that gets me the most about it is that the whole adventure ends up being just a dream. What a waste of so many hours in my life! I hate endings like that. Oh, sorry by the way for the spoiler if you haven't beat the game yet.

Link's Awakening is the only Zelda game that I know of that has been remade and upgraded. A couple of years ago it was released on Game Boy Color. It was put into color and had some extra things added.

Overall, it is probably one of my least favorite Zelda games. I don't know why. It just is.
